Kontrolle und Aufsicht über das Jugendamt nötig PR-Konferenz der EU-Petitionskommission am 20. 01. 2009 im EU-Parlament Brüssel

Press conference

A press conference took place today, 20th of Jan 2009, made by the Commission of Petitions, to date lead by Mr Libicki, and concerning specifically the well known misdeeds to the German youth office, the infamous Jugendamt.

The conference was themed on two recent events:

1

First, the fact that the EP refused to accept a Plenary, concerning the petitions received by the Commission of Petitions – i.e. concerning the numerous (over 250) petitions received by the Commission of the Petition, concerning the Jugendamt.

Thus, the Commission of the Petition, in order to enquire further, had to find some wiggling room and created, on its own, a "Working Document" with the following references: DT\760500EN.doc

2

Secondly, the fact that the Plenary refused, in the report Cariati, amendment Nr 24 concerning questions one should ask concerning the Jugendamt.

In both cases, the bad will of German MEP has been clearly shown.

Mr Libicki, who spoke for a long time, insisted heavily on the fact that Jugendamt should be controlled, that it is not, that the parents should be informed about their rights, versus the Jugendamt (they are not, for the time being) and that the system of “uncontrol” of the Jugendamt is, to date not fit for a democratic Europe.
